Paddle Sports Demo Day
This will be our second annual Paddle Sports Demo Day at Deer Creek Conservation Area. We will have a wide selection of recreational and fishing kayaks on hand for test paddles. Pro staff from Old Town will also be on site along with our Paddle Canada instructor. If there is a specific Kayak you would like to try contact us ahead of time to ensure it will be on the lake.
All safety gear are provided for the Demo’s. The Demo starts at 10 am in the beach area of Deer Creek Conservation Area and will finish about 4 p.m.
There is a day pass charge of $12.00 at the gate. From the gate house drive straight ahead the road turns to the left to the beach parking. Weather may effect what activities take place and schedules.
What to bring:
Paddle sports PFD if you have one.
Hat you can lose to the lake
Strap for glasses/sunglasses
Bathing suit
Fast drying top or other synthetic fibre – Never cotton of any percent.
Water shoes/ sandals with heel straps
Waterproof sunblock
Towel
Change of clothes, you may get wet.
Neoprene wet suit if available/desired. Just in case – the water could be cold.
Strap for glasses/sunglasses
